I first visited Singapore when I was 12 years old and who would have thought that a more than a dozen years later, I would be living here. Well, here I am, in a mid-paced city where life is a total opposite of different my chill-out, smiley oriented hometown, Bangkok. In the course of one year, I must have had more than 10 friends that come and goes, making new friends is never a problem here in this transit-island but finding compatible friends that shares your mindset can be challenging.
With friends being the closest thing to the family when you are away, I must say, I am quite fortunate to have found girlfriends from different part of the world, all destined to meet, mingle, and most important of all, do what girls (and guys) do best, we share. From ice-cream, tears, smiles, gossips, beds to long walk, and positive energy, we share.
As my friends and I were mocking Captain America’s punch line, “Just waiting for the right partner,” I realized that a bit of it is true. I was here for a year but for the first time, I feel like Singapore is closest to home because I found the right partners and I couldn’t have asked for more 
Do I count as a girlfriend?
Sabina, thanks so much for this. You’re the sweetest person I’ve met here, I’m going to miss you a lot. You better come to London, where there will be new memories to create, experiences to live and of course, most of all, lots of heart.
