It finally hit me after one week in Singapore that I am no longer a local in Bangkok. The concrete jungle that I was living in is not as concrete as Singapore, that’s for sure.
Little things such as a door that says ‘Pull,’ not only means pull here in Singaland but it means you have to pull it unlike Bangkok where it’s all words and no actions. As I walk around town, I realize that I’m just a piece of lego in my bright blossom dress here that plays part as a student and an explorer.
I couldn’t help but to miss Bangkok on my first day, mostly because of my friends and family, not to mention the liberty to do just about anything I wish as I wish it. Bangkok spoiled me, it actually made me forget how to mingle because in Bangkok, I didn’t need to mingle, people mingle with or so my ego says.
I decided to do what I used to do best, I mingled.
