Still a Shining Star in Our Hearts

I was just spending my normal Sunday as I always do until I got a message that you were no longer with us. I started to wonder if what I heard was real, if it was just a misunderstanding and if there are two of you and the one that’s gone is just mistaken to be you.

Wow, I don’t even know what to say when I heard about it, all I thought was, you were the one that’s always calling me in college from the 1^st year, we studied together, and the most ironic thing is our Student ID Number forces us to sit next to each other in the exams room so I would always tutor you before exams and you know what, we always tell each other positive things right before those murdering hours.

I vaguely remember this one day when we were in the garden at Bangkok University, I must have been bitching about my life as I always do and you said to me with the you-you smile, ‘Sabina, I’m sure you can be anything you want and everything you want to be. I know because I believe in you.’

It’s one of the repeated lines you always say to me, it’s positive, it’s inspiring, and look at you; you’ve lived an inspiring life. You were a star even before all of us became a tiny little rock. Knes, I don’t know if I have told you this but you were everything you wanted to be and all of us believed in you and we still believe in you.

I’ll always remember our study sessions, projects, late night phone calls, boost each other’s confidence talk, and I’ll always remember you.

Rest in peace, our shining star, you’re still shining in our hearts.
