Twisted Tuesday: To Be In The Moment II

Mode: It’s 2 a.m. on a Monday night and I am tossing and turning in bed, trying to put myself to sleep but looks like that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

“Don’t forget to tell the Universe what you want,” said Angel Batista one of the quirky characters on the television series, ‘Dexter.’

Early this year, I wanted to go to Hong Kong with my girlfriends, I don’t know if I told the Universe what I wanted but I remember telling my girls what I wanted. Wishful thinking, on the flight back from Hong Kong to Bangkok, I remember saying repeatedly how much I would like to visit that ‘mysterious,’ hotel that has daybeds on the rock by the bay in Vietnam.

If telling the Universe about what we really want is the way for us to get what we want then Universe and I must be best friends because I am ending the year of 2009 with a trip to the ‘mysterious,’ resort.

It does make me wonder though, how come all my wish comes true when it comes to things that I want but not really about say other personal life related matters besides my career. Is it because my wishful thinking is unreal or delusional? Or is it possible that the so called Universe actually knows your inner calling that you, yourself have never even heard of or even listen to. Or maybe, just a maybe, the Universe might be one of the few things in our lives that knows what’s good and bad for us, hmmmm…
