Office politics, it’s something you see often everyday almost everywhere but you just put on an imaginary blindfold and pretend like it’s not even there. Worst case scenario is not when you see it but mostly when you actually feel it. Of course, politics is just another part of our lives, like how we wake up in the morning, brush our teeth, hang out with our friends, or even order that glass of vodka lime.
Don’t even think about running away because it’s always running after you so just stay still, take a breath, look around, and calm down. I am sure that most of us can come up with the best way out for any situation, there’s always a way out that’s what I say. While to some playing office politics is just like pressing buttons on that joystick, earning scores, climbing that ladder up, to me honesty is always the best policy.
Oh well, now that the office politics is done and over with. I am going to take a short break far far away from reality to the paradise of Bali. Yes, I am arriving in the surfer’s island tomorrow morning and just like I wished and prayed and hoped for. I finally got the contract before leaving Lifestyle Asia and before my trip!
I can still remember how people used to joke that I should work for Bed just because I go there so often but then I was working on a part time event as a media partner. I suppose I must have send out some vibes somewhere but beginning of 22nd June 2009, I will be working as a Head of Event/PR and Marketing for Bed Management which runs Bed Supperclub, Bangkok, Sound Club, Phuket, several hotels in Cambodia, and other upcoming projects.
I wake up everyday thinking if it is all just a dream but it’s not I am getting closer and closer to my full potential and the feeling is just unexplainable. I know that it’s going to a challenging job but that’s the beauty of me, challenges tickles my fantasy more than the hot bod with surf board on the beach.
And indeed it’s the Blonde that’s finally climbing up the stairs, I might fall sometimes but I sure will get up and climb better.
