What to wear this coming spring? by Sabina Ahuja

The Transparent Look
In the 90’s we saw a lot of skin. Well those days are back again. Leading designers such as Fendi, Marc Jacobs, and Chloe are ordering see-through fabrics by the mile and planning on wrapping it around us, with a pair of boy shorts underneath. Try a chiffon neckline top with classic pastel colors.

Boyish Act
Get in touch with your masculine side, girls. Gucci, Nina Ricci, and Yves Saint Laurent are some of the designers that are bringing blazers back to life—whether black, disco metallic, lose or tight, they’re in! You can try wearing your jacket with a narrow skirt or pants for even more machismo.

Life in Color
Striking red, emerald, or bright shining yellow make a comeback—but not all at once, please! Compensate for the flash effect with minimal details and accessories. Let the colors speak.

Print It
Prints will be all over the runways. DKNY are going with tribal prints while Kenzo chooses big bright red floral prints on yellow backgrounds. Again, match with simple accessories to avoid saturation.

50s Glamour
A drape dress, or pleated skirt, and all in basic colors like gray, beige and classic black will take you back to an era of total glamour. Turn into a Greek goddess (at least one in a Technicolor Hollywood movie) with Vera Wang and Donna Karan thanks to their one-shoulder pleated dresses.
